This is such a new journey for me. Usually, my documentaries are for church or for the sole purpose of documenting moments and events. Here, I feel like I'm finally maturing as a filmmaker.

Transcripts went far slower than anticipated. Each interview (approx. 30 min. each) came out to 9 solid pages. I discovered that when doing transcripts, you can better understand the subject and the things said. Also, I was able to see the short comings of my directing. I tended to power through each question. When the subject asked if he made any sense, I automatically agreed. But reading the transcripts, I can see that I missed on some good points that could have matured if it was explained a bit further.

Today, I begin editing a class cut for Move(ment).
1. Transcript two interviews
2. Read and highlight the transcripts
3. Convert some footage while doing steps 1 & 2
4. Soundtrack selection
5. Cut
6. Cut again
7. Cut again
8. Write DVD
